Evening Time...

Seeing the evening ,descending on the sky
Time to wind up work, birds' cry
Mind is deceiving & drifting away
Toil & sweat exhausted every nerve for the day


Dark clouds are hovering over the mountain
Standing next to the window she must be  impatient
On the trodden path going up to the town
Next to the fireplace,families gather around..

How long it will take to reach my abode
 Been to this path day & day long
Oh ! see the kitchen chimney burning so bright
Oh ! it's fireflies playing the trick on my bleary sight

Dragging & wobbly on this narrow path
Fatigue has pierced my body apart
Thought of fresh food for tonight's supper
Intoxicated me again  with some vigour

I knock at the door
Hear a kettle whistles on the stove
Waft of baked bread fills up the store
Within I hold passion galore

Her fingers play magically with the dough
A sight to watch her dazzling aglow
She hands hot tea & sit besides me
Her smile takes away the  weariness lurking around me..

Where do you disappear ?

To wake up the sleepy head

Who gently sleeps in her bed.

At sunrise , the world looks bright

A new beginning after every dark night;

Observed someone’s shadow!!

Bent under a gloomy cloud

She hid her face

Trying to conceal her Identity 

Lurked in a corner, as if debase!!

She looks dreadful &remains abstain!

Consciously, she stays aloof

As nobody welcomes her 

Under their roof!!

I walked up to her

To shower love & care

With compassion to know

What brings her here? 

She looked up 

With frightening eyes

The pain within

Unable to disguise!!

Oh! It’s Sorrow

The unloved child

Forbidden to enter, the cheerful world

As for everyone, she is defiled!

Is it my fault to born this way?

Discarded, forsaken she looked Irate

Why disbarred from warmth of world

Look beyond the frightening sight,

Acres of Land with full of spite..

Love & warmth , in thy heart has dried

Night after night I sat & cried..

Venomous greed , paralysed our thought

Hardship battles within , are yet to fought!

Inner turmoil , torture the goodness

Senseless attitude brings out the wickedness..

One day arrives an angelic soul,

A heart full of purity & gold..

Harmony will return !
